Green Artist

This is a  painting from a photo I took at dawn one cool October morning.

The small lake is right next to the sea, and there are usually hundreds of sea birds, gulls and geese calling out, flocking, swooping and diving.

The day I took the photo, which inspired this painting, it was unusually quiet. The little gondola boats bobbed on the placid ripples at the edge of the jetty and the world was still in slumber.
