I bought these sunflowers to brighten my home on a dull winters day and decided to paint them using pastels. I wasn’t sure how the blue vase would turn out on the blue pastel paper, but I was fairly happy with the result.

I’m not really a fan of cricket, but it is fun to watch the teams play on the green at Wrea Green, Lancashire, most weekends during the season. People come from quite a distance to watch and cheer on their favourite team, and often bring a picnic and make a day of it, sitting on benches in the sun or relaxing by the village pond.
