Allyson Wright, Green Artist,

Allyson is an artist and graphic designer, she uses environmentaly friendly materials in creating her artwork, to help protect the planet where ever possible.

“I have a very small carbon footprint, for instance I don’t use a car very often and try to limit the amount of resources I use in every way I can. I try to do more than just offset the materials I use and the energy needed to produce them.”

Unlike many artists who specialise in a particular style, subject and media, I think I must have a grasshopper mind, because I tend to paint whatever catches my eye, so there is a wide variety of styles and subjects in my work, including narrative art, portraits, abstracts and landscapes both urban and rural, although this list can change at any moment if something interesting occurs!

Anne is a classically trained artist having attended art school and then later taught Art and Crafts in Secondary school.

”I really love painting animals, getting ‘under the fur’, using colour and tone to show my impressions of their inner character.  It is important that my portraits reflect the outward appearance and the personality of the subjects in equal measure.

I also paint endangered animals and British wildlife using mostly watercolour, sometimes with the addition of Graphitint pencils.

I am hoping to capture with paint and pencil the endangered wildlife as a reminder of their fragile beauty before its too late”

We try to make all of our creative work as eco-friendly as possible, which means that more is put back into the environment than it takes to produce the work. The energy used in producing our work is repaid to the environment by planting trees to compensate both for the materials themselves and the energy used in creating the work.

Some trees are planted in Future Forest schemes within the UK. Future Forests supports forest and woodland developments, repopulating indigenous species, and helping wildlife and the earth’s climate.

We add new stuff very regularly so bookmark our site and keep coming back!
