Original Artwork
My original artwork is created using artist quality watercolour, acrylic and oil paint, on heavyweight fine art paper. I use a combination of sketches and photographs when planning the painting. I do not use pencil when drawing the painting because I feel that using ink gives a more dynamic and spontaneous feel to the finished piece.
Open & Limited Edition Prints
All my watercolour prints, both Limited and Open edition are individually created to order on heavyweight, acid free, fine art paper using Epson professional pigmented inks, for long lasting fade-resistant prints. Limited Edition prints are signed and numbered according to the edition.
Mounts
My paintings and prints are mounted using acid free, white core, mount board. This is because the use of standard mount board, which is not acid free, will in time damage your artwork by discolouring the fine art paper on which it is painted or printed.
Hand Embellishment
Hand embellishing, the process of over painting the print or parts of the print, helps to recreate the beauty, depth and clarity of the original painting’s colour, while at the same time creating a unique piece of art work that differs from all the other prints in the edition, making your print unique and because of that just a little bit more special.
